Hein Schroder

Hein’s vision statement is to make a tangible difference in organisations through individual and team interventions, to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Hein is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. After he completed his internship, he joined Old Mutual. He held various roles within HR, including Assessment Centre Specialist, OD Consultant and managing various teams. In his last role, he was the HR Head for Old Mutual Gauteng, responsible for Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Administration, Organisational Development [OD] and Assessment.

He is the founder of Hein Schroder & Associates, a consulting firm providing OD services and solutions for over 20 years. Hein is an associate with Growth in Motion. He worked in companies and organisations across a wide spectrum of industries.

Hein also worked abroad extensively on Leadership and Management Development and Assessment for Global companies. Some of the interventions he developed is implemented internationally and still in use. He has experience in Change Management, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Culture Change, Leadership Assessment and Development, Diversity Management, Team Growth Interventions, Organisational Effectiveness and Process Facilitation. He has a wide network of highly professional and skilled people to enable holistic and systemic interventions.

His philosophy towards consulting is to adopt a collaborative and co-creative approach to craft unique and sustainable solutions for clients.

Hein loves the outdoors and travelling to 4 x 4 destinations in and around South Africa. He also enjoys travelling abroad. In South Africa one of his favorite places is the Karoo with open expanses and start-lit skies at night. His love for animals is evident in the 4 dogs that is part of the household, from the big Great Dane to the tiny Pekingese.
